How to Use Fresh Methi

Rinse the leaves thoroughly and remove any thick stems before cooking. Add to curries in the last few minutes of cooking to preserve their delicate flavour and colour, or knead into dough for soft, fragrant methi paratha. Methi also works wonderfully wilted into dal, scattered over rice dishes, or blended into yoghurt-based marinades for chicken.

Storage Tips

Keep refrigerated and use within 3–4 days for optimum freshness. To extend shelf life, blanch the leaves briefly in boiling water, pat dry, and freeze in portions — ready to drop straight into your next curry.
