How to Use

Add 1–2 teaspoons to cooked toor dal along with tamarind water, tomatoes, and your choice of vegetables for a classic sambhar. Also works beautifully stirred into rasam, mixed vegetable kootu, or as a seasoning for roasted aubergine and drumstick dishes.

I've tried quite a few sambar powders over the years, but 777 Sambar Powder has become my favourite. The flavour is rich, authentic and well-balanced, without being overly spicy. It gives my homemade sambar that proper South Indian restaurant-style taste without having to mix lots of different spices.
